Homelessness and Dog Ownership: Toolkit Overview 

This is the first video in a three-part training series we’ve created for Outreach and Floating Support teams working with dog owners experiencing homelessness. This video introduces the realities of homelessness and dog ownership, exploring the powerful human–animal bond and the importance of keeping people and their pets together. We’ll focus on the ‘why’ - giving you an overview of the issues dog owners face, the impact of services taking a dog-friendly approach, the Animal Welfare Act 2006, dog related legislation and how we can help you support dog owners more confidently. We also explore the Dog Friendly Outreach Toolkit and how to access the resources available.
